January 18, 2025: When we began working on the Astoria at Home cookbook in April 2020, we created this page to highlight the restaurants featured in the book and share how patrons could support them during the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of those establishments closed shortly after. Others survived a few years longer, only to be driven out of the neighborhood by rising rents. This cookbook represents a brief snapshot in time in our neighborhood and we’re grateful to have had the opportunity to memorialize the small businesses that make us feel at home.
